Services and Amenities
Assistive-Listening Devices 
FM assistive-listening devices are available for lectures and films in Remis Auditorium and in the Riley Seminar Room. In the galleries, these devices may be used for art tours. No reservations are required for devices in Remis Auditorium or for the drop-in tours. For programs held in Riley Seminar Room, or for reserved tours and scheduled classes, please reserve devices in advance. For reservations and further information, call 617-369-3302.
TTY
A TTY public pay phone is located in the Linde Family Wing (formerly the West Wing) coatroom area.
Wheelchairs 
At each Museum entrance, free manual wheelchairs are available on a first-come, first-served basis, without reservations. Personal care attendants and aides assisting visitors who use wheelchairs are admitted free of charge. Please return all wheelchairs after your visit.

Access
Parking and Museum Entry
The Huntington Entrance (at 465 Huntington Avenue) and the State Street Corporation Fenway Entrance (at 200 The Fenway) are accessible and have a drop-off area in front. There are accessible parking spaces in the Fenway parking lot and in the parking garage on Museum Road. Please note that during the temporary closure of the Huntington lot, additional accessible spaces have been made available in the Fenway lot. For rates, visit Getting Here or call 617-369-3657. Payment for parking may be made in the lobby of the State Street Corporation Fenway Entrance, the garage lobby, and by credit or debit card at the exit lanes. Scan your membership card to receive the discounted rate.
All events in the Museum are wheelchair accessible.
Courtyard Café
Both the café and adjoining courtyard are wheelchair accessible. Signage in the café directs visitors to the accessible courtyard entrance. Concerts in the Courtyard take place in this area and may be accessed from the West Wing by taking the elevator to level "C". Once at level "C" follow the hallway to the café. Once in the café, look to the right for the courtyard entrance.
Volunteer Access Assistance for members and visitors who use wheelchairs, and for blind or low-vision visitors who need a sighted guide
The MFA is currently piloting a program to provide Volunteer Access Assistants to visitors who use wheelchairs or who would like a sighted guide during their visit to the Museum.
All requests should be made at least two weeks in advance; requests will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Please see contact information below.
Volunteer Access Assistants are available for two hours or for the duration of a ticketed program. The MFA cannot guarantee that volunteers will be available for visits exceeding two hours.
The Museum has three sizes of wheelchairs, 18", 20", and 24”; please indicate your preference when you make a request.
Late visitors will not be accommodated beyond the timeframe of the original appointment.
Volunteer Access Assistants are available to push visitors who use wheelchairs, but do not act as personal care attendants.
Volunteer Access Assistants are able to act as sighted guides for visitors who are blind or have low vision.
Volunteer Access Assistants are able to read labels and text panels, but are not tour guides. To learn about our Feeling for Form program and Access to Art Tours, e-mail access@mfa.org.
At least 24 hours notice of cancellation is appreciated.
To schedule a Volunteer Access Assistant, please e-mail wheelchairs@mfa.org in advance. Please provide your name, a phone number, the date and time of your visit, and the entrance you plan to use. Visitors will receive a confirmation as soon as possible. We will contact you within 72 hours in the unfortunate event that we are not able to fulfill your request.

Bank of America Access Programs
Access to Art 
Access to Art tours are designed for groups of teens and adults with disabilities, and includes a program for visitors with Alzheimer's. For visitors with Alzheimer's an individual tour is available as well. These tours are also offered in American Sign Language (ASL). There is no fee for this program, but pre-registration is required. Artful Adventures
Groups of children and teens with disabilities are served through Artful Adventures, an inclusive program at the MFA. For more information call 617-369-3303, (TTY) 617-267-9703, or visit the Groups page for details and to register online.
Beyond the Screen 
Beyond the Screen offers self-guiding materials for visitors who are blind or have low vision. These materials focus on a special installation in the Asian collection and are available, free of charge, at the Sharf Visitor Center. This program requires no pre-registration.
A Feeling for Form (FFF)
FFF is a program that provides access for visitors of all ages who are blind or have low vision. A Feeling for Form is an opportunity for tours of the collections through tactile exploration of selected sculpture and furniture, and through verbal description, tactile diagrams, and objects for artworks that cannot be touched. Trained Museum volunteers and Access staff lead these tours. We are currently expanding program offerings; call for more information. A Hand's Reach to Art
A Hand's Reach to Art provides access to MFA programs and events for visitors who are Deaf or hard of hearing. Throughout the year, a selection of gallery tours, performances, and demonstrations are presented in American Sign Language (ASL) or are sign-language interpreted.
