The MFA offers studio art classes and workshops for families, children, teens, and adults, taught by a dedicated faculty of experienced artists and art educators. Course topics include drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, and Chinese calligraphy, among others. In the studio, students are encouraged to experiment with materials and explore a variety of ways to interpret their ideas in art.

Children: Children's classes include weekly Saturday classes and School Vacation weeks.

Teens: Teens ages 12–18 can choose from weekly Saturday classes, Sunday workshops, three- or five-week classes, and School Vacation weeks. Class offerings include Drawing and Composition, Figure Drawing, Painting, Mixed Media, Sculpture, and Art History.

Adults: Adults can choose from classes and workshops at beginning and advanced levels, offered both during the day and in the evening. Class offerings include Basic to Advanced Drawing, Figure Drawing, Drawing in Pubs, Basic to Advanced Painting, Life Painting, Portrait Painting, Watercolor, Printmaking, Mixed Media, Sculpture, and Figure Sculpture.

The MFA also offers workshops and courses in collaboration with Diablo Glass School, Stonybrook Fine Arts, and the Eliot School, open to children, teens, and adults.

Diablo Glass School offers adult and teen courses in glass blowing, kiln forming, and flame working.

Eliot School offers adult, teen, and children's courses in woodworking, sewing, and furniture design.

Stonybrook Fine Arts offers adult and teen classes in foundry, jewelry making, figure modeling, and stone carving.

CLASS CANCELLATIONS AND STORM CLOSINGS
For information call the Museum beginning at 6:30 am on the day in question at 617-369-3295. Refunds are given only if the class is canceled by the MFA. We regret that there is no makeup or refund for classes and workshops canceled due to inclement weather.

MEMBERSHIP

PARKING
Museum members enrolled in Studio Art Classes & Workshops are entitled to a parking discount.

SCHOLARSHIPS
Limited scholarship assistance is available. For an application, call 617-369-3295. Send complete scholarship applications only, and include the scholarship form, registration form, and a letter of reference. Scholarships are provided in part through grants from the John and Dorothy Wilson Fund, the Sarah G. Leahy Endowment Fund, the Longstreth Fund, and the Renée Rapaporte Scholarship Fund.
